Communication Campaign

Romanian International Bank asked to promote their exchange and deposit services through a serious of appealing campaigns in order to gain market share and increase awareness for the brand.


For the first campaign ‘’COMBO DEPOSIT’’, we developed the contest, landing page and promotional materials in order to highlight the double benefit of the product (exchange & deposit currency at the lowest interest rate). With just a clever idea and minimum of online promotion, we archived amazing results: 1000 participants in just one month, a 2% increase in sales, free publicity and awareness from our Facebook users.

The second campaign ‘’WIN A MATTRESS FULL OF MONEY’’ created even more buzz. The witty idea had to promote the benefits of saving money with RIB, but also convey a message our target could relate to. The insight (‘’tine banii la saltea’’; ‘’keep the money under the mattress’’) fitted perfectly. The prize drew even more attention and the results were the acknowledgment of our hard work: 3000 participants in just a few weeks.

Another campaign, was ‘’THE SELFIE LOAN’’ (‘’CREDITUL SELFIE’’) that promoted the RIB loan product and services using a hip 2013 trend – ‘’the selfie’’. We developed a campaign starting from the insight that ‘’people love to take selfies, because it makes them feel special and important’’ & it’s all about them and their needs, just like the RIB loan. So we gave them the opportunity, throughout the campaign to take ‘’the best selfie ever’’ and win various prizes worthy of everybody’s appreciation.

We emphasized that through the promotional materials, campaign’s landing page, FB Page, creative banners, OOH & window displays. And although it was an unusual approach considering the conventional, serious manner in which banks communicate, the results, in just the first weeks were worthy of consideration: 9.200 unique visitors on creditulselfie.ro, 1087 customers filled in the form, 1352 new likes.
