BBY - Mall Store Design
BBY is a womens clothing manufacturer and retailer, with an established presence in its sector. Our challange was to propose, and build, the new BBY store for Megamall Bucharest.
BBY stands for BE BOLD, BE BEAUTIFUL, BE YOU, that is the core message of the brand and it reflects the dedication of its young team in delivering, more than apparel and accessories, an extension of its customers personality. BBY is a mirror for it's customers and with that in mind, our proposal for the first BBY mall store had to reflect everything the brand stands for and offer a true experience in shopping to its customers.
Our key words were: FEMININE,YOUNG, DARING, BEAUTIFUL and CONFIDENT.
The 3D renders
The result was influenced by the colours and atmosphere of the Bucharest nightlife adding to this a touch of femininity and glamour. The products inspired our design every step of the way, a solution had to be found for an extensive collection of evening dresses, matching shoes and handbags.
The final result
Custom made hangers are easy to move around the store and shoe racks are modular and can be combined both horizontally and vertically. Mirrors are used everywhere on the furniture giving a sense of space and luxury, and the reflective floor adds to this effect.The design has coherence thanks to the colour palette and materials used in different ways.
The display window is designed as a glamourous, bright space, providing background for the products and mannequins combined with metallic floral light pendants by Tord Boontje. Inside, the 3d panneled walls and tube installation make up a contemporary environment.
A custom made acrylic tube chandelier paves the way at the entrance.
The RGB light show is controlled remotely and can be customized for any occasion.
Details
Geometric shapes and organic decorations create a contradiction but complement each other.
Different types of lighting in the store.
Light is a very important detail in any clothing store and we tried to take of advantage of it depending on it's function and utility. The entrance welcomes with a tube installation, that functions like a pathway, guiding the customers from the entrance to the cash register, it has a built in RGB led system that can change the look of the entire space in a matter of seconds. Neon writing marks the changing area and rose light bulbs provide an intimate feeling once you are in this space, inside the changing booth there is a lit up selfie wall.
The changing rooms hold a beautiful surprise, delicate rose light bulbs make up an electric garden on the ceiling.
